Highly recommend! We came in with two families (9 total) and had a great experience: Service & Vibe: Extremely friendly, patient, and welcoming staff. Food arrived very fast. Food: The mixed platters (2 or 4+ people) are ideal for sampling. The beef, lamb, and meats were tender, juicy, and cooked perfectly (plus flexible substitutions!). For the Kids: Great fries and amazing baklava varieties for dessert. Location: Conveniently set in a vibrant corner near other great local shops in Paterson. We loved our meal and will definitely return next time we're in the area!

The food was delicious. Great service, very attentive. Will 100% come back. Overall it is great for groups and or if you just want to come with your significant other for a date night. & oooh the baklava was top tier ❤️

Everything was amazing and delicious! The restaurant is beautiful, the atmosphere is so nice, and even the restroom was very clean. I ordered the lamb chops, and they were absolutely delicious. One of the best restaurants in New Jersey. Highly recommend!

If you are looking for authentic Turkish cuisine in North Jersey, Istanbul Grill House is a must visit.This spot serves some of the best grilled meats and freshest Turkish food in the area. They offer real charcoal grill experience which makes the kebabs and platters taste incredibly authentic and smoky . Yaprak Doner is legendary" and the best in town. I think it is signature dish . The food is consistently fresh, tasty and delicious the meat is so tender.

I recently visited Istanbul Grill House and had an overall decent experience, but with a few noticeable downsides. I went there specifically to try the Shawarma (Yaprak Doner) after seeing photos from other customers that looked very appealing. Unfortunately, when my order arrived, it looked quite different from what I expected based on those images, which was disappointing. The service was good—staff were polite, attentive, and made sure everything was handled smoothly. The prices are also reasonable, making it an affordable option for a quick meal. I also ordered a side of French fries, and they were definitely a highlight—fresh, crispy, and well-prepared. However, the Shawarma (Yaprak Doner) itself was quite dry. I asked if they had any sauce to add, and they provided a white sauce. While I appreciated that, I really think a tomato-based sauce would complement the dish much better and improve the overall flavor. Overall, it has good service and fair pricing, but the main dish could definitely be improved for a better experience.
